John Robshaw: Textiles

Whether you are donning resort wear or throwing a shower or party, my recent getaway brought to mind the beautiful, exotic textile patterns from John Robshaw. His designs are narrative and "represent a drawing of an adventure in a far–off place–from Yogakarta to Rajasthan, Bolivia to Vietnam. Arriving at textiles from painting and printmaking, I am interested in the mistakes, overlapping prints and the miss-registrations of woodblocks that record the human hand." I love his organic search for the perfect pattern. From textiles he has created tablecloths, pillows, napkins and even kaftans for putting on a great party!
